CCP Malta: EYID publication and calendar
To celebrate the end of the European Year of Intercultural Dialogue, the Cultural Contact Point Malta has published “Intercultural Expressions – Examples of Intercultural Dialogue in Malta“. The booklet, presented in the closing conference of the European Year held in Paris last 17-19 November, gathers 12 projects by cultural organizations, local authorities, schools, NGOs, and the European Parliament. These projects represent national best practices on intercultural dialogue, and serve as examples to look on for future developments of the dialogue.
CCP Malta is also releasing its 2009 calendar - the 12 months will be entirely dedicated to the photographic project “Pictures in my mind”. The project, part of FIVE, Malta's national project for EYID, allowed a group of people from very different cultural communities to display in a visual way their own perception of places, thus providing a vivid example of intercultural dialogue. The project culminated with the photographic exhibition “Pictures in my mind” set up in St James Cavalier last September, whose art pieces are reproduced in the pages of the CCP calendar.
