Selected the organizers for the new European Union prize for contemporary literature
On 31 May 2008 the European Commission launched the call for proposals for a new European Union Prize for contemporary literature. The purpose of this call was to select a body capable of organising and implementing the annual European Union Prize for Literature.
The outcome of the selection procedure is that the Federation of European Publishers, working together with the European Booksellers Federation and the European Writers' Congress has been selected to organize the selection process and the 2009 ceremony.
