New Year celebration for Linz, 2009 European Capital of Culture

From 31 December 2008 until 2^nd January 2009 Linz invited guests from all around Europe to celebrate the opening of 2009, the year for which the city has been selected as one of the European Capitals of Culture.

Linz decided to celebrate the start of this European mission with three days of festivities in the company of its visitors from near and far. These 3 days provided citizens and visitors with plenty of music shows, performances and many more interesting events.
