Vilnius European Capital of Culture at risk
The crisis affecting economy worldwide is beginning to show its effects also in the cultural sector. The widely advertised Vilnius Capital of Culture project may face drastic budget cuts. Lithuanian government announced that its cost cutting effort will seriously affect the national budget, including the funding for the VECC project.
