European Entrepreneurship Video Award 2009

The European Commission is providing European entrepreneurs and creative companies a unique chance to reflect on entrepreneurship and discover what becoming an entrepreneur is all about.

This opportunity is offered by the European Entrepreneurship Video Award 2009 (EEVA). Participants will be required to produce a short (between one and three minutes long), original and creative video on entrepreneurship in one of three categories ("The entrepreneurial spirit"; "Innovative entrepreneurship"; "Responsible Entrepreneurship"). These videos are meant to build a bridge connecting the world of cinema and the world of business, by portraying the participants’ ideas in the field of entrepreneurship, destroying old prejudices and offering new visions of the subject, at the same time promoting it all across Europe.

Moreover, the contest offers a chance to film-makers and students of cinema schools, as well as students of business and management schools, entrepreneurs and members of business networks, to form partnerships in order to show in a creative way what entrepreneurship means to them.

Three winners from 15 pre-selected short films in 3 categories will be invited to an awards ceremony on 6 May 2009 in Brussels during the opening event of the European week for small and medium sized enterprises. The videos will be presented to a large audience of TV producers, journalists, representatives of the arts and business people.

The best videos will be awarded a prize of EUR 3 000, the second best will receive EUR 2 000, the third best EUR 1 000.
