International theatre and music project "INSTANT ACTS against violence and racism 2009" is looking for young performing artists

Interkunst e.V. (Berlin), a registered non-profit association founded in Berlin in 1990, is looking for actors, musicians, dancers and acrobats from all corners of the world for the upcoming theatre and music tour "INSTANT ACTS against violence and racism". The project will last around 8 weeks, taking place throughout September/October, 2009.

 

The association is looking for both individuals and groups of 2, max 3 persons (age between 17 and 29) active in theatre, dance, music, circus, etc. The aim is to create an international ensemble of 20 talented and creative people open for new experiences.

 

Artists will be selected from different cultural backgrounds, so representing various types of performance art. Mission of the ensemble will be to make audiences aware of the different faces of violence and racism, fighting against prejudices, violence and racism. Through interactive workshops and a high quality performance the projects aims to motivate young people to lead active and creative lives.

 

The project will be presented in schools, theatres, churches, youth/cultural-centres and prisons. Lodging, catering and transport will be provided for the artists, as well as a salary.
